Leonard is focused on raising capital for our internal strategies and third-party funds across various alternative asset classes, including Private Equity and Structured Credit.
Leonard is a UK and US national and was a Managing Director in Fundraising at The Carlyle Group in London. Prior to that, he was the Head of Private Banking for the former Soviet Union and Central-Eastern Europe at JPMorgan, where he initiated the bank’s wealth management coverage for these markets from London. During 2001 to 2004, he was with Uralsib Financial Corporation in Moscow, first as a Director of Corporate Finance and then as Managing Director of Private Equity. Prior to that, Leonard spent ten years in Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, and Private Equity working in New York and Moscow with US and European institutions. Leonard received an M.B.A. in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University in New York and an undergraduate degree cum laude in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Leonard is a keen skier who also enjoys travel and cinematography.
